Ossian- Dennis M. Pike age 67, passed away unexpectedly on Monday January 14, 2012, at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. He was born in Rochester on November 10, 1945, a son of the late Fred and Vera (Purcell) Pike. He was also predeceased by a sister Rosemary Near and a nephew Duane Pike, two brother in-laws Charles Leeson and Charles Nahar. On February 8, 1969, he was married to Elizabeth Leeson-Pike who survives. Dennis was a retired employee of Eastman Kodak Company in Rochester, where he was a print proof operator. He was a US Air Force veteran serving during Vietnam from 1965 to 1969. He was an avid collector antique automobiles especially Oldsmobile's. He was a member of the American Legion and the Oldsmobile Collector's Club of America. Surviving in addition to his wife Elizabeth, are a son, Todd (Melissa) Pike of Ossian; a daughter, Paula Pike of Middleburg, FL; a brother, Richard (Ann) Pike of Clarkson, NY; a sister, Patricia Hoelzle of Webster, two grandchildren, Noah Bowdy of Ossian and Andrew Malchoff of Bath, sister and brother-in-law Mary Nahar and Louisa Ann Leeson both of Rochester, Tom (Linda) Leeson of Hopewell, several nieces, nephews and a good friend Tom Holbrook of Dansville. There will be no calling hours. Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Greenmount Cemetery, Dansville. Arrangements are by the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc., 271 Main St., Dansville. Online remembrances may be left at HindleFuneralHome.com In lieu of flowers please make memorial contributions to the Dansville Ambulance Fund, Mercy Flight Central or the MS Society.
