Conesus- Esther M. Grubb age 86, formerly of the Conesus-Sparta Townline Rd., passed away early Thursday morning July 12, 2012, at the Highlands of Brighton in Rochester following a long illness.
She was born in Bergen, NY on August 22, 1925, a daughter of the late Elmont and Esther (Mastin) Orr. She was also predeceased by a daughter Dianne Sherry and a brother Ira Orr. On December 27, 1947, she was married to Robert Grubb who survives.
Esther was active with the Senior Citizens Club in Conesus. In her free time she enjoyed buying and selling antiques and driving fast cars. She was formerly employed at Eastman Kodak, Allied Signal and Delco Products all of Rochester.
She is survived by her husband Robert Grubb of Sodus, a daughter Chrissy Sheldon of Sodus, three grandchildren Brandon, Heather and Sarah.
Friends may call Saturday from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc., 271 Main St., Dansville, where services will follow calling hours. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Scottsburg. Online remembrances may be left at HindleFuneralHome.com.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Livingston County Humane Society, PO Box 223 Avon, NY 14414.
