Dansville- James "Jim" Lewis McKinney age 78, passed away late Saturday night December 29, 2012, at Noyes Memorial Hospital. He was born in Sanford, West Virginia on October 18, 1934, a son of the late James A. and Della Pauline (Kincaid) McKinney. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a sister Doris Sill, and six brothers Billy, Mac, Ralph, Kenny, Frank, and Donald McKinney. On May 11, 1954, he was married to Martha (Price) McKinney who survives. Jim was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose #1130, a member of the Dansville Fish and Game Club and a member of the Phoenix Lodge # 115 of the F&AM all of Dansville. He was retired from Craig Developmental Center in Sonyea where he worked for 30 years as a driver and Laundry supervisor. Jim also worked as Dog Control officer "410" here in the Village of Dansville for 36 years before retiring in 2008. Surviving in addition to his wife Martha is his son, Thomas (Christine) McKinney of Dansville, Three grandchildren Renee Howe of Dansville, Matthew (Amanda) McKinney of Lakeville, and Michael McKinney of Dansville. At Jim's request there will be no services or calling hours. Arrangements are by the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc., 271 Main St., Dansville.
