Dansville- Charles Douglas Smith "Charlie" age 25, passed away unexpectedly Friday afternoon June 1, 2012, at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. He was born in Winter Garden Florida, on September 29, 1986, a son of Douglas Michael and Elizabeth "Betsy" (Jerome) Smith. He was predeceased by his father Douglas Michael Smith and his grandparents, Charles and Doris Smith and Patricia Price. Charlie was employed as a painter for Pro College Painting in Rochester. He was a graduate of the "Class of 2004" from Dansville High School. He was active with his father in Junior Golf and Little League in Dansville. He is survived by his mother, Betsy (Bill Bennett) Smith of Dansville, two sisters, Kristi (Jayme) Longbine of Hemlock, Maria Lynn Smith of Dansville, a brother, Patrick (Amy) Mullen of Corning, his grandfather, Burton Price, aunts, Terry (David) Walker, Kathy (Don) Kinney, and an uncle Stewart (Pat) Jerome, his loving fianc, Deanna L. Virgo, and her parents, Linda (Russ) Sutfin and Paul Virgo. Friends may call Thursday from 10:00am to 1:00pm at the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc., 271 Main St., in Dansville. Interment will be with his father in Holy Cross Cemetery Dansville. Online remembrances may be left at HindleFuneralHome.com. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, 145 Main St., Dansville, NY 14437.
