Obituary of Harland Coolidge Foster

He was born in Dansville, on June 30, 1923, a son of the late Chauncy and Laura Coolidge Foster. He was also predeceased by 5 Brothers, Charles, Albert, Wayne, Earl and Truman; 3 Sisters, Ida Rowley, Mary White and Adaline Brown; 1 Son, Harland "Skip" Jr. and 1 Granddaughter Dion Sullivan. Harland worked for Owen's Brothers Trucking for 41 years as a dispatcher and driver retiring in 1988. He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose and member and past-president of the Fearless Hook and Ladder Fire Company of Dansville. He is survived by his wife, Judy Hazen Foster, 3 sons, Marty, Stephen (Judy), Dennis. All of Dansville; 4 daughters, Barbara (Gary) Burley of Dansville, Norma Jean (Donald) Sullivan of Nunda, Cheryl Anne (Frank) Robson and Rebecca Foster, both of Dansville; two sisters, Betty Bryant and Leta Mess, Numerous Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Friends may call Saturday from 1:00 to 3:00pm at Hindle Funeral Home 271 Main Street, Dansville where services will be held at the completion of calling hours with Reverend James Stevens officiating. Interment will be in Oaklawn Cemetery West Sparta. Online remembrances may be left at HindleFuneralHome.com. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Dansville Ambulance.
