That your mom is remembered by me is more than you might think. The years we commuted to SUNY Geneseo were some of the greatest. That your mom and dad were special friends and neighbors to my mom will long be cherished by me, as they were by my mom. You too, were a special part of my mom's life. She would often share with me the little talks that you and she would have across the kitchen table on Bank St.. I would love to learn more of your life and family in Texas. Did you receive the receipe that I sent to you last winter... one of your mom's, in my Christmas card.

I will certainly try to attend the funeral but will send a gift via Carl for her church. I will have heart procedure at Strong Memorial in 2 hrs. Will be there at least overnight. Come home Friday AM with my RN. So... I will TRY as I loved your mom for the person that she was with me. DAVE SMITH
