Obituary of Dorothy Mae Buell

Dansville- Dorothy M. Buell age 96, passed away early Saturday morning January 21, 2012, at Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville. She was born in Dansville on February 11, 1915, a daughter of the late Fay and Louise (Werth) Lawrence. She was also predeceased by her husband Emrie Buell and several siblings. Dorothy was a Registered Nurse and had worked for the Wayland Central School District for thirty years as the school nurse. She was a former Public Health Nurse for Livingston County and at Dansville Memorial Hospital before her career at Wayland. Dorothy was a member and Past Matron of the Priscilla Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star in South Dansville. She was also a member of the Wayland and New York State Retired Teachers Association. She is survived by her two children; Leslie (Jane) Buell of East Williamson, and Merry Alice (Loren) Patterson of South Dansville; five grandchildren, four great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call Tuesday from 11:00 to 1:00 pm at the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc., 271 Main St., Dansville, where services will be held at the completion of calling hours.
