Dansville- Dorothy M. Buell age 96, passed away early Saturday morning January 21, 2012, at Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville. She was born in Dansville on February 11, 1915, a daughter of the late Fay and Louise (Werth) Lawrence. She was also predeceased by her husband Emrie Buell and several siblings. Dorothy was a Registered Nurse and had worked for the Wayland Central School District for thirty years as the school nurse. She was a former Public Health Nurse for Livingston County and at Dansville Memorial Hospital before her career at Wayland. Dorothy was a member and Past Matron of the Priscilla Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star in South Dansville. She was also a member of the Wayland and New York State Retired Teachers Association. She is survived by her two children; Leslie (Jane) Buell of East Williamson, and Merry Alice (Loren) Patterson of South Dansville; five grandchildren, four great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call Tuesday from 11:00 to 1:00 pm at the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc., 271 Main St., Dansville, where services will be held at the completion of calling hours. Interment will be in Rogersville Forest Lawn Cemetery South Dansville. Online remembrances may be left at HindleFuneralHome.com. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
