Dansville- Gertrude France age 69, of Hessler Court in Dansville passed away at home early Tuesday morning October 18, 2011, after a short illness. She was born in Dansville, on September 25, 1942, a daughter of the late Theodore and Ruth (DeMun) Jones. On January 29, 1963, she was married to Bernard France, who predeceased her on October 7, 2001. Gert was a self-employed as a house cleaner and childcare provider for several Dansville area families. She had also cleaned at Dansville Chrysler Plymouth and the Eagle Laundromat both of Dansville. She and her son David had been route carriers for the Hornell Evening Tribune for many years. She is survived by her children, Robin France, David France both of Dansville and Dianne France of West Sparta; two brothers Theodore (Eloise) Jones Jr., of Mt. Morris and Terry Jones of MS.; Six grandchildren, John, Paul, Tim, April, Roger and Jimmie, and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held on Saturday October 29, 2011 at 1:00pm in Oak Lawn Cemetery West Sparta. Arrangements are by the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc., 271 Main St., Dansville.
