Dansville- Pamela H. Vogel age 58, passed away early Thursday morning October 6, 2011 at the Vincent House in Wayland following a long illness. She was born in Staten Island, NY on September 6, 1953, a daughter of the late Gerhard and Gladys (Lamond) Hill. On September 18, 1976, she was married to John Vogel, who survives. Pam was a member of the Sparta Center United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Scottish Heritage Society of Rochester. Pam was a former producer for the Genesee Ensemble Theatre Group, a Troop # 87 Girl Scout Leader, and a former member of the Dansville Woman's Civic Club. She was a graduate of Onondaga Community College with an Arts and Science degree. For several years she was a legal secretary for her husband John. In her free time she enjoyed sewing, camping and canoeing in the Adirondack Mountains. Surviving in addition to her husband John, are her children, Michael Vogel of Dansville, and Jennifer Vogel of Pittsburgh, PA. Two brothers, Gary (Diane) Hill of Houston, TX, Paul Hill of Wylie, TX and sisters, Christine (Carl) Becker of Stanford, NY and Dr. Jennifer (Lisa Gilley) Hill of Silver Springs, MD. Her mother and father in-law Walt and Betty Vogel of Sparta. A grandson Ethan Michael Clark, and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Sunday from 1:00 to 4:00 pm at the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc., 271 Main St., Dansville. A Funeral service will be held on Monday at 11:00am in the Sparta Center United Methodist Church with the Rev. James W. Stevens officiating. Interment will be in Bath National Cemetery.
