Obituary of Glenn E. Johnson Sr.

He was born in Wayland on March 27, 1934, a son of the late Scott and Esther (Wolfanger) Johnson. On September 2, 1972, he was married to Margaret (Maggio) Johnson, who survives. He was a longtime faithful member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Dansville and volunteered at the Dansville Community Food Pantry. Glenn was a US Army veteran serving from 1956-1958. He was also a former member of the Loyal Order of the Moose # 1130 of Dansville. Glenn worked as a mechanic at Dansville Chrysler Plymouth for thirty eight years, retiring in 1996. He enjoyed loved to walk and when he could ride his bicycle around the Village of Dansville. Glenn was simple yet content with his life and enjoyed watching baseball games, auto racing and puttering around his home and yard. Surviving in addition to his dear wife Margaret, are his children, Michael (Michelle) Johnson of Avon, Glenn (Sandy) Johnson Jr., of Leicester, Monique (Barry Kenney) Johnson of Avoca, Mary Kay (Chris Ball) Peaty and Steven (Barbara) Johnson, both of Dansville. Five grandchildren, a great-grandson and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Wednesday at 11:00am at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Dansville. Ref.
