Dansville- George J. Moulthroup Jr., age 60, passed away Thursday evening March 3, 2011, in the Emergency Room at Noyes memorial Hospital in Dansville after being stricken at home.
He was born in Dansville on June 10, 1950 a son of the late George and Josephine Mott Moulthroup. He was also predeceased by a son Michael Moulthroup. On December 20, 1980 he was married to Carol Shepardson Moulthroup who survives.
George worked an Eastman Kodak Company of Rochester as a Sight Operations Manager. He was a member of the Dansville Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness. In his free time he enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, and cutting wood.
He was a man that liked to work with his hands, he loved the outdoors and all it had to offer and dearly loved his family and friends. We all know that George was never afraid to speak his mind and was always honest and loyal. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Surviving in addition to his dear wife Carol, are a son, Jamie Moulthroup and his wife Melanie of West Sparta, two daughters, Lisa Moulthroup and her fiancé Brice June of Honeoye, and Sarah Rohrbaugh and her husband Daniel of Mt. City, TN; a sister June Haven and her husband Mitch of Schenectady; four grandchildren, Brandon, Evan and Kaia Moulthroup and Cypress Rohrbaugh and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday March 9, at 6:00pm at the Dansville Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. Interment will be in Greenmount Cemetery, Dansville. Online remembrances may be left at HindleFuneralHome.com.
