She was born in Mahoning, PA, on May 9, 1920, a daughter of the late Ferris and Nancy (Parker) Loop. On September 21, 1947, she was married to Paul Kennell, who predeceased her on March 30, 2003. She was also predeceased by her siblings, Alberta Cleveland, Frieda Mastin, Doris Fleishman, Alison, Eugene, Juanita and George Loop. Lydia and Paul were longtime sales representatives for American Home Toy Parties and she worked at the former Alice Style Shop in Dansville.. They also maintained and rented several homes in the Village of Dansville. She was a member of the former Dansville Assembly of God Church. She is survived by her children, Richard (Ilana) Kennell of Ohio, Robert (Susan) Kennell of Rochester and Paula (Robert) Lucieer also of Rochester; a brother, Bill Loop of Florida, four grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call Sunday from 1 to 3pm at the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc. 271 Main St., Dansville, where services will be held Monday at 11:00am with the Rev. Paul Metzger officiating. Interment will be next to her husband Paul in Greenmount Cemetery, Dansville. Online remembrances may be left at HindleFuneralHome.com. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the ABVI 546 Clinton Ave., the Alzheimer's Association both of Rochester, NY 14620 or Life Line c/o Noyes Memorial Hospital, 111 Clara Barton St., Dansville, NY 14437.
