Castile- Herman L. Fitzpatrick age 76, passed away unexpectedly in Florida on Tuesday November 16, 2010.
He was born in Dansville, on July 22, 1934, a son of the late Bernard and Gertrude (Murphy) Fitzpatrick. He was also predeceased by a son Michael Lee Fitzpatrick and siblings, William, Paul, Albie and Charlie Fitzpatrick, who was a pilot in WWII and was shot down over the Atlantic Ocean. On May 27, 1978, he was married to the former Helen Samuelson, who survives.
Herm was a bus driver for the Craig Developmental Center in Sonyea. He had also drove truck for Griffith Oil in Pearl Creek, NY.
Surviving in addition to his wife Helen, are his children; Kevin (Kelly) Fitzpatrick of Dansville, Denise Copeland of TX, and Laurie (Tim) Wambold of NV; stepchildren Robert (Valerie) Kershner of Ossian, Lori (Rick) Nagle and Scott June both of Dansville. Seven grandchildren, Jessie (Dan) O'Connor, Kevin Michael Fitzpatrick, Jeremy and Amy Wambold, Amber, Heather and Brandon Copeland; four great-grandchildren, Allison O'Connor, Savannah Wambold-Breemes, Damien Wambold and Jacob Kershner.
A graveside service will be held Sunday at 1:00pm at Holy Cross Cemetery in Dansville. Ref. Hindle Funeral Home, Inc., 271 Main St., in Dansville. Online remembrances can be left at HindleFuneralHome.com.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Wyoming County SPCA, 808 Route 98 Attica, NY 14011.
