Dansville- Kenneth M. "Ken" Johnson age 60, passed away early Friday morning October 8, 2010, at Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville following a lengthy illness. He was on April 26, 1950, a son of the late Oscar and Phyllis Johnson. On October 8, 2005, he was married to Linda Payne Johnson who survives. Ken worked at Dogwood Day Treatment in Dansville as a Rehabilitation Specialist for over twenty years. He was a member and Sr. Vice President of the Frank J. Casbolt VFW Post # 6780 of Dansville where he also served on the Board of Directors. Ken was a US Air Force Veteran serving during the Vietnam Era. He was also a volunteer for the American Cancer Society's "Relay for Life" Program. Ken enjoyed gardening, reading and assembling jigsaw puzzles in his free time. He is survived by his wife, Linda Payne Johnson of Dansville; four sons; K.C. Johnson of NM, Zachery Johnson of OR, Granger Johnson of CO, Caleb Johnson of NM, a daughter; Katie and her son Rogan of NYC. Three step-daughters, Jennifer of CT, Christina of Wayland and Emily of Perry, five step-grandchildren, a sister Alyce of TX and Edward of Skaneateles and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Monday from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc., 271 Main St., Dansville. Services will be held at the completion of calling hours. Interment will be in Bath National Cemetery, Bath, NY. Online remembrances may be left at HindleFuneralHome.com. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the VFW Post # 6780, 145 Main St., Dansville, NY 14437.
