Obituary of Sarah S. Earner

Dansville- Sarah S. Earner, age 99 passed away early Wednesday morning June 23, 2010, at the Livingston County Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Mt. Morris where she had been a resident for the past two weeks. She was born in Dansville on June 21, 1911, a daughter of the late James and Cecelia (Hollowell) Freas. She was the widow of Joseph R. Earner who predeceased her in 1977. She was also predeceased by her siblings, James Jr., Frank, Robert, Edward, Dolores Freas, Gertrude Freas, Isabelle Sanders and Hazel Galton. Sarah was a resident for the past several years at the King's Daughters and Son's in Dansville. She was a former member of the Woman of the Moose of Dansville, the Daniel Goho Post # 87 of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and the Wayland Rod & Gun Club. She is survived by her children, James (Wanda) Earner and Isabelle Wadams both of Dansville, and Mary (Roger) McKinney of South Livonia; a sister, Mary (Don) Monahan and a brother, William (Barbara) Freas of Dansville; seven grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, a great-great granddaughter and many nieces and nephews. There will be no prior calling hours. A graveside service will be held Saturday July 10th at 10:00am in Holy Cross Cemetery Dansville. Ref. Hindle Funeral Home, Inc., 271 Main St., Dansville.
