Obituary of Barbara J. Lowman

She was born in Dansville, on August 7, 1943, a daughter of the late Claude and Lorma (Little) Kiefer. On June 3, 1967, she was married to Roland "Mike" Lowman who predeceased her on December 22, 1989. Barb had worked at many area Dansville business over the years including, Ames Department Store, Burger King, Arby's and Travelport's of America. She was also a former in school suspension monitor at the Dansville Middle School. She was a member of the Fearless Hook and Ladder Company of the Dansville Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed in her free time, gardening, crocheting, baking and cats. She is survived by two daughters, Marlene (Jesus Gonzales) Lowman and Marsha Lowman both of Dansville. A twin sister Beverly (Carlton) Hogan of Geneseo, a grandson Quinn Gonzales, a niece and a nephew. Friends may call Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc., 271 Main St., Dansville, where services will be held Wednesday at 11:00am. Interment will be in Greenmount Cemetery, Dansville. Online remembrances may be left at HindleFuneralHome.com. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Dansville Ambulance Fund, PO Box 235, Dansville, NY 14437 or the Livingston County Hospice, 2 Murray Hill Dr. Mt. Morris, NY 14510.
