I want to say I am so sorry for the lose of your sister, Maureen to Fred, Donna, Christine and Deanna. I grew up with Maureen and spent many hours with her and her family at their home. May God bless her and she be in peace now.

Laura (Ehrich) Palmer posted a condolence
I fondly remember our dear neighbor from Fairhaven Road! Maureen was vivacious and kind, and she introduced me to two favorite books, James and the Giant Peach and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. She was the kind of neighbor a small child appreciated; she always spoke to me as though as I was a grown-up, she brought me illicit snacks from the grocery store, and she thought my odd jokes were hillarious. Maureen introduced me to quiche in the Changing Scene Restaurant in Rochester, an experience which is often and happily remembered. Her four-legged children, Elkie and Greta and later Kristen, featured prominently in the made-up stories of my childhood. I am so sorry for Maureen's friends and family for their loss. May you all find comfort in memories of her laughter and smile, of her generosity and warmth.

I am lucky to have known Maureen Palmer. She and my brother, Lynn, spent some very happy years together. My husband, Nacho, came to Rochester to meet my family, and Maureen welcomed him with open arms. When she talked with us, she truly listened to every word. The next time we would see her, she would come with a special food she’d prepared just for us, or with a special gift based on that previous conversation. She had a heart of gold. On the night that she passed away, there was a beautiful meteor in our eastern sky. I feel as though that bright light was, in some way, her saying goodbye. Our thoughts are with Maureen, Lynn, and the whole family who knew and loved her dearly. She holds a place in our hearts forever.
With love, JoAnn and Nacho
