Obituary of Susie May Holbrook

She was born in the Town of Groveland on February 18, 1924, a daughter of the late Ephraim and Elizabeth Shafer Holbrook. On July 9, 1949, she was married to Murel Holbrook, who predeceased her on October 13, 1993. She was also predeceased by a grandson Robert Holbrook Jr. Susie was a member of the Daniel Goho Post # 87 of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She was formerly employed at the Blum Shoe Factory and the Physical Culture Hotel of Dansville, and Birdseye Foods in Avon. She is survived by five sons, Ephraim Holbrook of CA, Robert (Donna) Holbrook of Piffard, Murel Holbrook Jr., of West Sparta, Larry Holbrook of Leicester, Tom (Bonnie) Holbrook of Dansville, two daughters, Carrie Holbrook of Dansville and Carol (Steve) Draper of MO. A sister of Cora Loop of Dansville, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 10:00am to 12:00 noon at the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc., 271 Main St., Dansville, where services will be held at the completion of calling hours. Interment will be in Arnold Cemetery Conesus.
