West Sparta- Katie M. Stanley age 18, passed away early Saturday morning August 15, 2009, in the ER at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident Friday night in Darien Center, NY. She was born in Hornell on September 21, 1990, to her loving parents James and Tanya Cramer Stanley. She was predeceased by her paternal grandmother Patricia Stanley.Katie was a 2008 graduate of Dansville Central School and was currently on the Dean's List at Morrisville College studying Agricultural Business. She was employed for the summer at Middleton's Ice Cream Stand in Dansville. Katie was a good natured down to earth, young lady who enjoyed spending time with her close family and friends. She took special pride and enjoyment helping run the family farm and loved camping. She was a devoted daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece aunt and "Big Cousin".Surviving in addition to her parents Jim and Tanya, are her paternal grandparents, Francis and Barbara Stanley of Groveland, maternal grandparents, Gerald and Martha Cramer of Ossian, a sister Stacey Stanley at home, three brothers, J. Scott Stanley of Dansville, Jesse (Shannon) Stanley, and Jay Stanley, both of Mt. Morris, a nephew Joshua Stanley. Aunts, Donna (Steve) Zabrocki, of Geneseo, Karen Cramer and Tiffany Strobel, and an Uncle Wayne (Dawn) Stanley, all of Dansville, many cousins and friends. Friends may call Tuesday from 5 to 9 pm and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7 -9 pm at the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc., 271 Main St., Dansville. Services will be held Thursday at 11:00am in the Ossian Presbyterian Church. Interment will be in Ossian Center Cemetery, Ossian.
