She was born in Phoenix NY, on October 13, 1938, the daughter of the late John and Vivian (Thompson) Dimon. On August 31, 1957, she was married to Sheldon R. Ford, who predeceased her in the accident just 10 days ago.Mary Jane joined the Order of the Eastern Star in Phoenix, NY in 1971. She was past Matron of the Mary Jemison # 417 of the OES and currently a member of the Geneseo Chapter # 481 of the OES. She was the Royal Matron of the Kate J. Jackson Court of Amaranth in Dansville and a former member of the Evelyn Wood Court of Amaranth in Phoenix, NY. She was also a past member of the Phoenix Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary. Mary Jane is survived by her five children, Deborah Jean Babel of NC, Sally Ann Hale of VA, Dr. Veronica Marie (Bob) Weigel of HI, Linda Elizabeth Ford of NY and Ralph (Laura) Ford on IN. A brother Dr. Carl A. (Susan) Dimon of TX. Nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Masonic, Eastern Star and Court of Amaranth services will be held Tuesday at 2:00pm at the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc., 271 Main St. Dansville.
