He was born in Baldwinsville, on February 2, 1934, a son of the late Ralph and Orma (Rowell) Ford. On August 31, 1957, he was married to Mary Jane (Dimon) Ford, who passed away ten days after him from injuries sustained in the automobile accident. He was predeceased by a sister Janet Ford.Sheldon was raised into Free and Accepted Masonry in May of 1975 in Phoenix NY. He was a current brother of the Geneseo Lodge 0214 in Griegsville. He was also a member of the Kate J. Jackson Court of Amaranth in Dansville where he was Royal Patron. Sheldon was a Past Grand Royal Patron of the NYS Amaranth and Deputy Supreme Royal Patron. He was a member of the Mary Jemison of the Genesee Order of the Eastern Star where he served as District Deputy of the Livingston District and District Grand Lecturer.Sheldon is survived by his five children, Deborah Jean Babel of NC, Sally Ann Hale of VA, Dr. Veronica Marie (Bob) Weigel of HI, Linda Elizabeth Ford of NY and Ralph (Laura) Ford on IN. Nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Masonic, Eastern Star and Court of Amaranth services will be held Tuesday at 2:00pm at the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc., 271 Main St. Dansville.
