William Sidney Howe Sr. Obituary

He was born in Dansville, on February 18, 1935, a son of the late Otto and Laura (Searles) Howe. He was also predeceased by a sister Violet Teeter. On November 25, 1977, he was married to Kathryn "Kay" (McKee) Howe, who survives. Bill was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Dansville. He was also a member of the Teamster's Local # 118. He enjoyed in his spare time, restoring antique cars and tractors, building models, helping his children build their homes and camping. He was formerly employed at Whitney's Furniture and Appliance, the Ashland Gas Station both of Dansville. He drove truck for the former Shay's Service for many years and most recently he drove school bus for the Livingston Wyoming ARC.Surviving in addition to his dear wife Kay, are three daughters, Jacquie Rogers of Wayland, Betty (James) Capozzi of Dansville, Laurie Howe of NV, three sons, William S. "Bill" Howe, Jr., of Syracuse, Kevin (Lesley) Huffman of Dansville, and Keith (Lynn) Huffman of Ballston Spa. Three sisters, June (Warren) Collier of Dansville, Laura (Thomas) Robison and Theresa Kenney both of Geneseo, two brothers Charles (Betty) Howe and Laurence (Priscilla) Howe, both of Dansville, a brother in-law Bob (Carolyn) McKee of Avon. Ten grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call Tuesday from 2-4 and 7 -9 pm at the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc., 271 Main St., Dansville. Services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00am at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Dansville.
