Ruth was a member of the Ossian Presbyterian Church, the Ossian Ladies Aide, and the former Ossian Grange. She worked at Stony Brook State Park for 32 years in the office, selling tickets, bookkeeping, and other clerical work. Ruth and Armonde had operated a strawberry and raspberry business in Ossian for many years.She is survived by her children, Bill (Rhea) Walker and David (Terry) Walker both of Ossian, Nancy (Jim) Smith of Wayland and Pat (Mark) Baird of Conesus. A sister in-law Genevieve Linzy of Ossian, six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.Friends may call Friday from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc., 271 Main St., Dansville, where services will be held at the completion of calling hours at 3:00pm. Interment will be in Ossian Center Cemetery, Ossian.In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Dansville Ambulance Fund, PO Box 235, or the Salvation Army, 6 Chestnut Ave. both of Dansville, NY 14437.
