Obituary of Loren F. Bonner

He was born in Dansville, NY on October 15, 1925, a son of late Rowe and Jennie (Ebert) Bonner. He was also predeceased by a brother Maynard Bonner. On October 21, 1950, in the Geneseo Presbyterian Church he was married Mary Ann Culbertson Bonner.Loren was a dairy farmer on the Bonnerdale Farm in Ossian until 1997. He then farmed it as a crop farm until his retirement in 2006. He was a former welder at Foster Wheeler Energy Corp. in Dansville. He was a member of the Ossian Presbyterian Church, the Livingston County Farm Bureau and the former Ossian Grange. He enjoyed in his early years riding his Indian Motorcycle with Mary Ann, roller skating, dancing and swimming. He also enjoyed playing pitch, euchre, and high five card games. Loren and Mary Ann enjoyed traveling to Florida when they were able. Surviving in addition to his wife of fifty-nine years, Mary Ann, are a daughter, Jenny (Edward) Derrenbacher, two sons, David and Danny Bonner, all of Ossian. Two grandchildren, Julie Warner of Ossian and Jason (Staci) Derrenbacher of Canaseraga. Two great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Tuesday from 2-4 and 7 -9 pm at the Hindle Funeral Home Inc., 271 Main St. Dansville. Services will be held Wednesday at 11:00am at the Ossian Presbyterian Church.
