Obituary of Margaret Day

She was born in Nunda on July 7, 1942, a daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine (Milillo) Maggio. On October 27, 1962, she was married to Paul E. Day who survives.Peggy was employed for the past fifteen years at the Dansville Central School as a study hall monitor. She was very active participant in her children's lives. She also proudly attended many of her grandchildren's games and other events. She communicated daily with her sister Diane who provided comfort and reassurance. Her daughter Jill was always beside her to provide support and excellent help with her care. She would like to thank her family, friends, and co-workers, especially her students for the love and care given to her over the past fifteen years. Surviving in addition to her husband Paul, are two sons; James (Diane) Day of Dansville and John P. Day of Haines City, FL, a daughter Jill A. Day, of Dansville, a sister, Diane (Tim) Johnson of Mt. Morris, a brother in law Mike (Norma) Day of Oakfield. Four grandchildren, Tyler and Cody Day of Florida, Brandon and Lindsey Day of Dansville, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Friends may call Monday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc., 271 Main St., Dansville, where services will be held Tuesday at 11:00am. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Scottsburg.Contributions may be made to the Livingston County Hospice, 2 County Campus, Mt. Morris, NY 14510.
