She was born in Dalton on May 4, 1922, a daughter of the late Floyd and Mildred (Lee) Dorey. She was also predeceased by siblings, Edith Hathaway, Betty Sacker, Lawrence and Alva Dorey. On September 2, 1939, she was married to Harold H. Young who predeceased her on July 8, 1990.She was a member of the Dansville United Methodist Church. In her free time she enjoyed writing poetry, word puzzles, crafts and sewing.She is survived by two sons, David (Susan) Young of Dansville and Eric (Donna) Young of Cortland. Two brothers, Robert (Rosemary) Dorey and Gordon Dorey both of TN, two sisters Alice Lisjak of Eadon, NY and Dorothy McLean of Dansville. Six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Saturday from 11:00am to 12:00pm at the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc., 271 Main St., Dansville, where services will be held at the completion of calling hours.
