Naomi H. McKee Obituary

She was born in Muncie, IN on August 7, 1912, a daughter of the late Charles William and Martha Jane (Stanley) Hughes. She was also predeceased by her siblings Esther Krewson, Herman, John, Charles, Claude, and James Hughes. On April 30, 1938, she was married to Rev. Robert H. McKee, who was the long time pastor at the Dansville Presbyterian Church, who predeceased her on November 14, 2003.


Naomi was a member of the Dansville Presbyterian Church, the Opportunity Circle at the Kings Daughters and Sons Home and the former Shakespeare Club. In her free time she enjoyed sewing, reading and taking care of her family.

She is survived by a daughter, Kathryn (Bill) Howe of Dansville and son Robert (Carolyn) McKee of Avon; her grandsons, Kevin (Lesley) Huffman of Dansville and Keith (Lynn) Huffman of Ballston Spa; great-granddaughters Casey (Zach) Scott, Lauren and Naomi Huffman and great-grandson Andrew Huffman; and a great-great-grandchildren, Jahzlin Scollon, Langston Scott and Trenton Stone.


There will be no prior calling hours. A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 8, at 11:00 am in the Dansville Presbyterian Church. Interment will be in Greenmount Cemetery, Dansville. Arrangements are by the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc. 271 Main St., Dansville.
