Obituary of Leslie Scott Rowe

He was born in the Town of Burns, NY on September 25, 1909 a son of the late Olin and Myrtie (Scott) Rowe. He was also predeceased by his siblings Aliene Fox and Jeanette Mungo. On March 11, 1931 he was married to Hazel Came Rowe, they enjoyed 75 and years of marriage until her death on September 26, 2006. His family would like to thank all of the neighbors in Valley View Court for their special attention and concern. Les always felt a special bond with his neighbors over the thirty five years he lived there. In addition he was very proud of his long and healthy life and took great satisfaction in reaching the age of 99 on September 25. Les is survived by his daughter Jane Cassada Kenney of Dansville. Two grandchildren, Marie Cassada of Geneseo and Tom Cassada and his companion Doug Howard of Rochester; three great-grandchildren: Scott (Rebecca) Wilson and Brian Wilson of Ohio and Nicole Wilson of New Jersey, a brother Stephen Rowe of Hornell, several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Friends may call Saturday October 18, from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Dansville Presbyterian Church, where a memorial service will take place at the completion of calling hours, with the Rev. William Wilkinson officiating. Interment of his cremains will be next to Hazel in Oak Lawn Cemetery, West Sparta. Arrangements were by Hindle Funeral Home, Inc., 271 Main St., Dansville.
