Ossian- Mary Ann Bonner age 96, passed away early Monday morning January 13, 2025, at her home in Ossian.
She was born in Dansville on April 14, 1928, a daughter of the late Oliver and Dorothy (Acomb) Culbertson. On October 21, 1950, she married Loren Bonner who predeceased her on February 1, 2009. She was also predeceased by two sons, David and Danny Bonner, and siblings, Judith, Edward, Richard,and Victor.
Mary Ann was a farmer's wife and enjoyed conversation, playing euchre and meals around the kitchen table at the farm on Valley Road. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Ossian and the Ossian's Ladies Aid. She was a former Telephone operator for Rochester Telephone for thirty-five years.
She is survived by her daughter Jenny (Edward) Derrenbacher of Ossian, two grandchildren Julie Derrenbacher, Jason "Duke" Derrenbacher, three great-grandchildren, Katherine (Cyrus Young) Warner, Tabitha Derrenbacher, and Matthew (Katie Snyder) Warner, a great-great grandson Hutson Young, siblings Dorothy (Thomas) Van Valkenburg and Daniel (Betty) Culbertson, and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held Friday January 17, at 11:00 am at the Ossian Center Presbyterian Church. Interment will be in Ossian Center Cemetery in Ossian. Arrangements are by the Hindle Funeral Home Funeral Inc., 271 Main St. Dansville. Online remembrances may be left at HindleFuneralHome.com.
