South Dansville- Carol Lee Rawleigh age 85, passed away late Saturday night December 21, 2024, at the home of her daughter Shelia in Richmond Hill, Georgia following a long illness. She was born in the Town of North Dansville on November 21, 1939, a daughter of the late George and Vada (Silsbe) Forsythe. On May 17, 1958, she was married to Randolph "Randy" Rawleigh, who predeceased her on December 31, 1994. She was also predeceased by her sister Laura Dickenson and a brother Albert Forsythe. Carol was a registered nurse working first at Craig Colony SONYEA (State of New York Epileptic Asylum) and finishing her nursing career at Dogwood Day Treatment with Finger Lakes DDSO. She was a former member of the South Dansville United Methodist Church, the Frank J. Casbolt VFW Ladies Auxiliary. In her golden years she enjoyed her home, painting ceramics and gardening. She is survived by her son Randall (Tammy) Rawleigh of Plattsburg, NY; two daughters, Kimberlee Briggs of Binghamton and Shelia (Kevin) Murray of Georgia, eight grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held in the spring at a date and time to be announced by the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc., 271 Main St., Dansville. Interment will be in Rogersville Forest Lawn Cemetery, South Dansville. Online memorials may be left at HindleFuneralHome.com.
