Dansville- Maureen Jean Seeley age 72 passed away at home late Wednesday evening May 29, 2024, with her family at her side after a long battle with pancreatic cancer.

She was born in Dansville on September 4, 1951, to Bernard D. and Jean M. Seeley (VanDurme). She was predeceased by her father Bernard.

Maureen was happy to live her life in Dansville where she had many friends and worked at a variety of jobs including Deputy Clerk/Treasurer for the Village of Dansville. She spent time at home gardening and rearranging or sitting on the patio watching the sunset with Dave. She was a very kind, caring, generous and genuine person always ready to help.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years Dave, her mother Jean, sister Julie and her husband Gary Conlon. Sons David Jr., and his wife Caroline and Timothy, and his wife Melissa. Also, her beloved grandchildren Lauren, Rachel, Nora, William, and Seeley.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday August 2nd, from 1:00pm to 4:00pm at Scovilles 60 Red Jacket St. Dansville, NY 14437. Arrangements are by the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc. 271 Main St., Dansville. Online remembrances may be left at HindleFuneralHome.com.
