Dansville- Donald Lester Gould age 77, passed away on Friday May 10th, 2024, at Strong memorial hospital following an illness.

He was born in Dansville on August 6, 1946, a son of the late Lester and Cora (Englert) Gould.

Don was a 1964 Graduate of Dansville High School. Following graduation he enlisted in United States Navy. During his time in the service, he was stationed on a Nuclear-powered submarine. He was responsible for the operation of the nuclear reactor. During his tour he dove under the Polar Ice Cap. After four years in the Navy Don was Honorably Discharged, he then worked as a truck driver at the former Coca Cola plant in Dansville. He was a member of the VFW Post 6780, Frank J Casbolt Memorial Post, he was also a member of the American Legion.

Don is survived by his friends, including his childhood friend Gary (Marie Burley) Jacobs, and his friend from the Coca Cola Plant Debra Arrison.

A graveside service with Full Military Honors will be held in Holy Cross Cemetery on Friday May 24, 2024 10:00am. Arrangements by the Hindle Funeral Home Inc. 271 Main St. Dansville, NY 14437. Online remembrances may be left HindleFuneralHome.com.
