Dansville-Donald Conklin age 90, passed away peacefully on Thursday May 9, 2024, at the Vincent House following an illness. He was born on November 13, 1933, in Dansville, a son of the late George Peter and Gretchen Mae (Ash) Conklin, He was also predeceased by his wife Nancy (Culbertson) Conklin, his two sons, Jack and Peter Conklin. Don had a tremendous love for his family. He was devoted to supporting and attending his children and grandchildren's sporting events, concerts, and other activities. Don enjoyed woodworking, completing puzzles, and his ever-growing collection of Hess trucks. He participated in the Lion's Club and sang in the Minstrel Show each year. Don retired from Eastman Kodak in Rochester; his work was in 16mm film. He had a unique laugh, one that was contagious. Surviving Don, are two daughter's in-law, Terrie Applin, and Mary Lou Conklin, grandchildren, Megan (Greg) Stokesberry, Kaitlin (Corey) Strick, Riley (Matthew Pace) and Ryan Conklin, great-grandchildren, Addison, and Milania Musto, a sister in-law Jean (Frank) Gottschall, a brother in-law Jim (Kathy) Culbertson A Celebration of life will be held on Thursday May 23, 2024, from 1:00pm to 3:00pm at Scovilles 60 Red Jacket St. Dansville, NY 14437. Don will be privately buried next to his wife Nancy in Greenmount Cemetery Dansville. Arrangements by the Hindle Funeral Home Inc.271 Main St. Dansville, NY.
