West Sparta- Gloria Kay Norton 78, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2024, at Noyes Memorial Hospital following an illness.

She was born in Dansville, a daughter of the late LeGrand and Lavina (Pike) Witherell. Gloria was also predeceased by her husband, Rodney in 2006, her son, Jeffrey in 2017, her sisters, Doris Johnson, Marjorie Nowatzki, Louella Ciotti, Thelma Polmanteer, brothers, Donald and Robert Witherell.

Gloria loved living in the country, talking to the animals and giving them names like Bunfur the rabbit. She loved to talk on the phone with her friends and family. She was a big fan of the Buffalo Bills, especially Josh Allen.

Surviving Gloria are her children, Randy (Mary Ann Middlesteadt) Jaroszek, Tracey (Mike) Jaroszek, a companion, Robert Kershner, a daughter in-law Elizabeth “Betsy” (Hartmann) Witherell, a sister, Barbara (Keith) Wilcox, sister’s in-law, Carolyn Witherell, and Karen Norton, grandchildren, Stacia and Todd Cansdale, Hattie and Katie Witherell, Lyndsey, Justin, Savannah Jaroszek, Carrie Cole, special friends, Tom and Donna Maggio, Darlene Palmer, cousin, Sue Link, many nieces and nephews.

Services will be private for the family, Arrangements by the Hindle Funeral Home Inc. 271 Main St. Dansville, NY. Interment in Oaklawn Cemetery West Sparta with Rodney. Online memories may be shared at HindleFuneralHome.com.
