Dansville – Donald A. "Don" Cuddeback age 93 passed away late Monday afternoon February 5, 2024, at his winter residence in Apache Junction, Arizona with his family by his side.

He was born in Almond, NY on October 29, 1930, a son of the late Charles and Susan (Heckler) Cuddeback. He was also predeceased by a daughter, Renee and his siblings, Inabelle, Edward and LaVergne Cuddeback.

Don was a member of St. Peters Episcopal Church in Dansville. He was a US Navy Veteran serving as a barber during the Korean War. He had also barbered with his father in Canaseraga and carried on with his own shop on Main St in Dansville, currently the location of the Gas Light Grill, for many years until he retired. He was a life member of the Daniel Goho Post #87 of the American Legion, where he was active with the Firing Squad at military funerals and other veteran's activities. He was also a member of the VFW, Loyal order of the Moose, was an Honorable Pilgrim of the Moose, and volunteer for The Protectives Fire Company and ambulance.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Madge, are a son Bruce (Julieta) Cuddeback, Daughter Debbie Brogan, Grandson Brett (Kim Wester) Murray, Granddaughter DeNae (Rich) Gibson, Great Granddaughters Chanel (Todd) Thompson and Breden (Kevin Kokaska) Gibson, Granddaughter Holley Jemtrud and great grandchildren Nicholas & Sabrina, Granddaughter Melissa (Ron) Goode and great granddaughter Chloe, Siblings Mary (Frederick) Rowan and Vernon (Kay) Cuddeback, several nieces, nephews', cousins, and extended family.

Calling hours are Sunday, February 11th from 1:00-3:00 pm at the Hindle Funeral Home, 271 Main St. in Dansville. A funeral service will be held at the St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Dansville on Monday, February 12th at 11:00 am.
