Dansville- Sarah Elaine Losey age 88, passed away early Tuesday morning January 9, 2024, following an illness at home.

She was born in Warsaw, on November 21, 1935, a daughter of the late Carl and Catherine (Simpson) Miles. She was also predeceased by her first husband David Russell, a sister, Helen, brothers, William, Howard, and Eddie. In 1985 she was married to Gary Losey who survives.

Sarah loved Jesus; she attended the Grace Baptist Church weekly. She was also part of the ladies' club at church and took part in Tuesday Bible Study at her daughter's house. In her younger years she enjoyed sewing and making dresses for her girls. She loved sitting outside, watching the birds, spending time with her children, and grandchildren. She worked as a home health aide for many years privately, and for the Livingston County Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation.

In addition to her loving husband, she is survived by her children, David (Beth) Russell, Laura (Shawn) Losey, Lisa (David) Stoffer, Teresa (William) Schibler, Gary's Daughter, Danaé Losey, thirteen grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, several nieces, and nephews.

Friends may call on Saturday January 13, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Grace Baptist Church 9316 Main St Dansville, NY 14437, a service to be held following calling hours at 12. Interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Gainesville. Online memories may be shared at HindleFuneralHome.com.
