Ossian- It is with deep sorrow to announce the passing of Kathleen P. (Poole) Knapp. Kathleen was 68 years young and had been fighting strong against MBC for 8 years. She passed peacefully with her family at her side. Survived by her husband, Bruce Knapp of Dansville (Married 1996), Daughter Gina (Bob) Watson and Son Jason (Linda) Menke. Granddaughters Morgan (Corey Summers) Watson, Sara Menke. Great Granddaughter Astrid M. Summers, and brother Richard (Betsy) Poole. She had many step kids and grandkids that she loved with all her heart, Brian (Stephanie) Knapp, (Isaac, Brynn), Aaron Knapp, (Griffin, Conner, & Gabriella.) Closest Friends that helped her over the yrs. Deb (Kip) Stein, Sue Duffy, Jean Taylor and Heather Simmons. She was predeceased by her parents Anthony (Anna) Poole, Sister Adele (Bill) Dambrowski, and brother John (Katie) Poole. Kathleen attended school in Webster, and moved to Dansville in the early 80s where she ran Woolie Hill Farm in Ossian until 1991. There she raised and cared for Llamas, Commodore Sheep Dogs, Scotch Highlander Cattle, & much more. Kathleen had a love for finding old treasures and giving them new loving homes. She traveled all over the states to antique shows, and set up shop every Sunday behind the red barn at EAFM for 30 yrs. She owned the Antique Poole on Main St, Dansville, NY for 11 yrs. After closing the doors to her store, she sold on Ebay and loved holding large yard sales at her home. Her favorite place to be, her home away from home in Central Florida with her beautiful gardens all around the house. She worked diligently on her gardens every day. Pouring in her heart and soul, welcoming all creatures large and small to enjoy her sanctuary with her. She will forever be watching the mating cranes feed under her tree from her sun porch. Donations can be in sent to Livingston County Hospice in her name. A Celebration of life is planned for April 6, 2024. Invites will be sent out and event page will be set up with info. Arrangements are by the Hindle Funeral Home, 271 Main St., Dansville. Online memorials may be left at HindleFuneralHome.com.
