Dansville- William P. "Bill" Cramer age 67, passed away at home unexpectedly Sunday evening October 15, 2023.

He was born in Dansville on December 22, 1955, the only child of the late Willard and Margaret (Lynch) Cramer. On August 29, 1987, he was married to the former Dorothy Germack who survives.

Bill owned and operated WPC Windows and Doors in Dansville for many years. He was also a self-employed funeral director working for area funeral homes. He had a longstanding relationship with the Hindle Funeral Home in Dansville for over 30 years. He was a former school bus driver and trainer for the Dansville Central School System.

Bill was a Communicant of the Holy Family Catholic Community at St. Mary's Church in Dansville where he was a member of the Knights of Columbus and was the Boy Scout Master for Troop 38 for over 25 years. He was also a former member and President of the Dansville Kiwanis Club, a Past President and member of the James H. Jackson Hose Company of the Dansville Fire Department. He would also be a representative "Santa Claus" for many families and organizations in Dansville and donating any proceeds from such events to children's charities for over 50 years. He was active with the Jacson Hose Octoberfest and played saxophone in the Happy Wanderers oompah band.

Surviving in addition to his wife "Dottie" are his son, Donald (Heather) Sanders of Dansville, grandchildren, McKenzie (Eric) Kohl, Alexis, Abigail, Kaitlyn, and Trenton, great-grandchildren, Bently, Delaney, Atlas and James. Several aunts, cousins, and friends.

Friends may call Thursday October 19, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc. 271 Main St. Dansville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Friday at 10:00 am at St. Mary's Church in Dansville. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery Dansville.
