Dansville- Kathy Alice Mastin age 66, passed away Tuesday afternoon October 3, 2023, at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born in Canandaigua, on August 2, 1957, a daughter of the late Edwin and Olive (Dresser) Shepard Sr. She was also predeceased by her sister Eileen (Danny) Rauber. On December 18, 1976, she was married to her high school sweetheart John Mastin Sr. who survives.

She was employed at Star Headlight and Lantern in Avon, as a supervisor for 25 years until her diagnosis. Kathy Loved her whole family. Especially, she loved buying gifts for her grandchildren. At Christmas time, she would ask her grandchildren to make a list. She would then buy everything on the list, so she could watch the joy on their faces.

Surviving in addition to her devoted husband of forty-seven years John are their children, John (Amber) Mastin Jr. and Jeffrey (Kelly) Mastin, grandchildren, Blair, Bailey, Mila, Lucas, Delia Mastin, sisters, Michelle (Dwayne) Knudsen, and Laura Shepard, a brother, Edwin (Kelly) Shepard Jr., several nieces, and nephews.

Services will be private for her family, interment in Richmond Cemetery, Livonia. Arrangements by the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc. 271 Main St., Dansville. Online remembrances may be left at HindleFuneralHome.com.
