Nancy Mae Gross Obituary

She was born in Dansville on April 15, 1923, a daughter of the late Adelbert and Ruth Babcock Hall. She was the widow of Ernest L. Gross, who predeceased her on October 17, 1985. She was also predeceased by a brother Andrew Hall.


Nancy worked in the office at the former Dansville Press for many years. She had also worked in the AARP senior employment program at Noyes Memorial Hospital and the Clara Barton Chapter # 1 of the American Red Cross. She was a communicant of the Holy Family Catholic Community at St. Marys Church in Dansville.


She is survived by her daughters, Loretta (Gerald) Hagle of Sparta, Sue (Don) McFadden of Avon and a son Adelbert (Mary Anne) Gross of Henrietta. Seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, several cousins and friends.


Friends may call Tuesday from 12:00 to 2:00 pm at the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc., 271 Main St., Dansville, where services will be held at the completion of calling hours. Interment will be in Greenmount Cemetery, Dansville.
