Obituary of Clyde L. Gary

Dansville- Clyde L. Gary age 86, passed away late Monday evening June 5, 2023, at Elderwood Care in Hornell. He was born in Dansville on August 13, 1936, the son of the late William and Beatrice (Pifer) Gary. He was also predeceased by his stepfather Theodore Titus. Clyde was employed as a laborer for most of his life on the Nicholas A. Mark and Sons Farm on Zerfass Rd., in Dansville. Clyde had a huge heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He rarely left the farm before everything was completely finished for the day, often working into the dark night. He was kind to all animals, especially the many cats who were lucky to be cared for by him. He enjoyed repairing lawnmowers and small engines of all kinds in the little bit of free time he had. His friendly disposition, sense of humor, and whimsical attitude always enabled him to make people smile, belt out a hearty laugh, and enjoy life. He will be missed. He is survived by several friends and coworkers. A graveside service will be held on Saturday June 10, 2023, at 10:00 am in Greenmount Cemetery in Dansville. Arrangements are by the Hindle Funeral Home.
