Dansville- Ursula H. (Kuck) Kroh, age 95, passed away peacefully Monday morning May 29, 2023, at Maplewood Nursing Home in Webster, NY. A longtime resident of Dansville, recently living at Solstice in Fairport and at the Maplewood since January, she was born in Danzig, Germany on June 05, 1927. Ursula served as a telephone operator in Germany after WWII; coming to Dansville in 1957 to marry, Wolfgang, as he had emigrated a year earlier. Ursula was married at St. Paul's Lutheran Church on April 21, 1957, with former Dansville residents Bill (d. 2004) and Betty (d. 2012) Cole as witnesses. Ursula's career was spent at Ra-Pid-Gro in Dansville until retiring in 1992. She enjoyed gardening: maintaining many flower beds throughout the park like setting of her home. Ursula was also a wonderful cook and baker as visitors who were always welcomed could attest. Ursula was well liked by those fortunate to have known her: a person with a very positive attitude and ready smile. She is survived by her sister, Lieselotte (Kuck) Schmitz and a niece, Renate Schmitz, of Aachen, Germany. She is fondly remembered by her U.S. family: Godson, David, Donna (Crane) Cole, Adam, Emily (Kevin) Leisten, Jacob, and Erika who celebrated many occasions and holidays with "Urshi" and "Wolfie". There will be a Memorial Service at 11:00 AM, Friday June 9 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Dansville. Interment will be in Aachen Germany. Arrangements by the Hindle Funeral Home, 271 Main Street Dansville, NY 14437.
