Obituary of Caroline J. Jacobs

Dansville- Caroline J. Jacobs age 74, passed away peacefully Wednesday evening August 29, 2012, at the Leo Center in Rochester. She was born in Dansville on November 15, 1937, a daughter of the late Clarence and Bessie (Green) Wallace. On December 10, 1955, she was married to James Jacobs, who predeceased her on March 13, 1999. She was also predeceased by a son Gary Jacobs and a sister Patricia Jaeger. Caroline was a longtime faithful member of the South Dansville United Methodist Church and served as secretary and treasurer. She was instrumental in obtaining the new location of the Gathering Place in South Dansville. In her free time she was an avid collector of Antiques and craft vender at area craft shows. She was a clerk in the gift shop at the former Ideal Lumber in Dansville. She is survived by her children, Tim (Laura) Jacobs of Rochester and Doug (Tosha) Jacobs of Buffalo, grandchildren Sarah (Nicholas) Belle, Brian (Jill) Jacobs, Kayla Charvat, Shauna Reynolds, Bethany (Eliot) Giebel, great grandchildren of Colin, Carly, Emma Giebel, Violet and Ruby Jacobs. Sister of John (Barb) Wallace of CO and Edith (Paul) Eller of TX. Friends may call Saturday 11:00 am to 1:00pm at the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc., 271 Main St., Dansville, where services will be held at the completion of calling hours.
