Obituary of Barbara C Mitchell

Dansville- Barbara C. Mitchell age 91, passed away at home with her family near early Saturday morning January 21, 2023. She was born in Dansville on March 1, 1931, a daughter of the late Clarence and Ida Eleanor (Lanphier) Culbertson. She was the widow of William Mitchell who passed away in 1973. She was also predeceased by a son Brad in 2021, a brother Frederick Culbertson and niece Janice Culbertson. Barbara was also predeceased by sisters-in-law Marguerite (Jack) Smith, Lillian (James) Reilly, Jeannette (Thomas) Adamson, Betty Minemier, June Mitchell, and Betty Culbertson. Barb was a longtime faithful member of the Dansville Presbyterian Church where she also served as treasurer for many years. She was formerly employed as a Bank Teller for Marine Midland Bank in Dansville. She was a former member of the Dansville Lioness Club and enjoyed quilting and jig saw puzzles. She is survived by two daughters, Beth (James) Clark, Bonnie (David) Wise, a son Brett (Donna) Mitchell, a daughter in-law Laurie Mitchell, grandchildren, William (Lisa O'Brien) Clark, Jonathan (Lisa) Clark, Ashley Bennett, Joshua (Teah) Mitchell, Sarah (Thomas Coombs) Mitchell, Scott (Tiffany Hillier) Mitchell, Jordan Mitchell, Erica (Matthew) Snyder, Amanda and Michelle Kamery, great grandchildren April Mitchell-France, Evangeline, William Jr., Giadora, and Joella Clark, Fiona Rose, Cora and Parker Mitchell, Bradley Coombs, Alyssa and Hadley Jane Snyder, Danny and Aidan O'Brien, brother-in-law Robert Minemier, several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Thursday 1/26 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Hindle Funeral Home Inc. 271 Main St. Dansville.
