Dansville-Richard Harold Sahrle, age 86, passed away early Sunday morning, November 13, 2022, at the home of his daughter in South Carolina.

He was born in Dansville, New York on October 13, 1936, a son of the late Raymond and Elizabeth (Lang) Sahrle. On October 28, 1958, he was married to Gerda U. (Voelkl) Sahrle, who predeceased him on October 17, 2018.

He was a life-long resident of Dansville having grown up on the Sky Farm on East Hill. He was previously employed by Vogt's Dairy and the Dansville Central School District. He was a communicant of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and a former volunteer for Meals on Wheels. He and Gerda enjoyed watching the Rochester Amerks and traveling back to Germany many times over the years.

Richard is survived by his children, Sandra (Douglas) Morgan, Linda Daugherty, Susan (Robert) Starcher, his grandchildren, Elizabeth, Samantha, and Jennifer, and great-grandchild Griffin. He is also survived by his sisters and brother, Rosemary (Frank) Alexander, Carolyn Witherell, Doris Lomler, and David (Patricia) Sahrle.
