Obituary of Thomas George Loree

Dansville- Thomas George Loree age 90, passed away peacefully early Tuesday morning September 6, 2022, at the Bath VA Medical Center following an illness. He was born and raised in Bishopville, Ny on November 10, 1931, a son of the late Mark and Anna (Joyce) Loree. On November 11, 1961, he was married to Hazel Loree who predeceased him in 2016. He was also predeceased by sister Mary (Dr. C.E.) Patti, his brothers Mark (Emma), and Paul (Dee) Loree, a son-in-law Dennis Holmes. After graduating from Arkport High School, Thomas joined the United States Armed Forces. He was honorably discharged in 1957 as a Sergeant. Following the Army, Thomas drove semi-truck for Covered Wagon in Hornell, for over 50 years. Thomas married Hazel in 1961 and moved to Dansville to make his home. Tom and Hazel managed Spring Creek Apartments for over 20 years after it was built. Thomas and his family enjoyed riding motorcycles, snowmobiles, and camping. Late in life he and hazel enjoyed going for long leisure rides and out to several restaurants. They would travel to Texas to visit Kym often. He is survived by his daughters, Kym Holmes of Kingwood Tx, Lee (Ray) Stone of Wayland, and Kay (Larry) Pryor of Canandaigua, grandchildren, Ashley, and Kristen Holmes, Vanessa, and Victoria Loree, Shad (Lauren) Stone, great-grandchildren, Trenton, Sydney, and Declyn Stone, great, great-grandchild Avacyn Loree. Friends may call on Thursday September 15, 2022, from 1:00pm to 3:00pm, a memorial service to follow calling hours at the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc., 271 Main St. Dansville. After the memorial service friends and family will be invited to a dinner at the Moose Lodge 6 Main St. Dansville, NY 14437. Private interment with Full Military Honors in Holy Cross Cemetery at a later date. Online memorials may be at HindleFuneralHome.com.
