Dansville – Ruth B. Kreiley age 94, passed away peacefully in her home in Sparta on Monday evening May 30, 2022.
She was born in Dalton, on December 21, 1927, a daughter of the late Daniel and Hazel (Washburn) Burr. On August 27, 1955, she was married to Howard Kreiley who predeceased her on September 9, 2000. She was also predeceased by a daughter Machelle (Shelly) Bunnell, in 2003, her siblings Marion Uhl, Leon Burr.
Ruth worked for 10 years as the Sparta Town Clerk and served on many offices of the Sparta Fire Department Auxiliary. She spent 30 years as an election inspector and was named Sparta Citizen of the year in 1999.
She is survived by her siblings, Linda White, Helen Cooper, and Doris Culley, her grandchildren, Craig (Jamie) June, Brandi (Joe Dallas) Frazier, great-grandchildren, Bradley and Morgan June, Ethan, and Ryan Frazier.
Per Ruth's wishes there will be no services, interment next to her husband Howard in Greenmount Cemetery, Arrangements by the Hindle Funeral Home Inc. 271 Main St. Dansville, NY 14437
