Nunda- Donald William Young age 65, passed away late Wednesday May 11, 2022, at Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville, following an illness.
He was born in Dansville on August 16, 1956, a son of the late Quinney J. and Marian E. (Rawleigh) Young. He was also predeceased by his brother David Young. On May 23, 1981, he was married to Grace "Mickie" Connor who survives.
Don graduated from Dansville Central School in 1975. Following high school he enlisted in the United States Navy for many years as active duty, then transferring to the reserves. Following the Navy, he got a job as a prison guard at Groveland Correctional Facility.
In addition to his loving wife of 41 years Mickie, two daughters, Mollie (Jason) Moll, Samantha (Gregory) Schubbe, a sister, Katherine (Michael) Thompson, a brother, Joseph (Sharon) Young. Three grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Interment in Nunda Cemetery. Arrangements by the Hindle Funeral Home Inc., 271 Main St., Dansville. Online remembrances may be left at: HindleFuneralHome.com.
