Nunda- Our dear mother, Emmajean Duryea age 81, passed away peacefully in her home on May 6th, 2022. She was born in Warsaw on April 14, 1941, a daughter of the late Carlos and Ruth (Hotchkiss) Evans. She was also predeceased by her husband, Roger Duryea Sr, and her brother, Howard Evans. The simplest pleasures in life brought our mom great joy. Family and home were everything to her. Mom’s life was one of caregiving to her loving husband, many family members, friends, or her beloved cats through the years. Gardening also brought her great joy and was something she shared with her family and friends. Mom’s church and faith was very near and dear to her heart. She is survived by her daughter, Charyl (Paul) DelMar, two sons, Roger (Paul) Duryea, Jr., and Mark (Michele) Duryea, sisters, Wendy (Gary) Gullo, and Marsha (Roger) Voss, her grandchildren, Jennifer (Jeremy) Haroian, Paul (Zoe) DelMar, Ashley (Justin) Kaufman, great-grandchildren, Trenten and Ethan Kaufman, Lucas Haroian, and Baby Girl DelMar on the way. A Christian graveside service will be held on Thursday May 12, 11:30am at Oakland Cemetery, Oakland, NY. Arrangements by the Hindle Funeral Home Inc., 271 Main St., Dansville. Online remembrances may be left at: HindleFuneralHome.com. In Lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Nunda Methodist church 26 east St. PO box 305 Nunda NY 14517 or the Nunda Ambulance Corp. 20 North State St. Nunda, NY 14517
