Obituary of Larry Richard Davis

He was born in Dansville, on September 25, 1948, a son of Oren and Betty LeBar Davis. On July 15, 1967 he was married to Katherine Stone Davis who survives. He was predeceased by a brother James Davis. Larry was employed at the Gunlocke Company in Wayland as a Manufacturing Engineer for the past thirty-six years. He was a communicant of the Holy Family Catholic Community at St. Marys Church in Dansville. He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose # 1130 of Dansville, the Sons of the American Legion at the Arkport American Legion. Larry and Kathy where active participants in the American Cancer Societys, Relay for Life in Dansville for several years. He enjoyed in his spare time, playing cards, woodworking, fishing, and watching his grandsons play baseball and soccer. Surviving in addition to his dear wife Kathy, and his parents Oren and Betty, are a son Kevin (Cindy) Davis of Dansville; a brother Randy (Karen) Davis of GA; two sisters, Helen (Joel) Dodge of Arkport, and Debbie (John) Maben of NC. Three grandsons, Curtis, Cameron and Carter Davis. Several nieces, nephews, cousin and friends. Friends may call Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at the Hindle Funeral Home, Inc., 271 Main St., Dansville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 11:00am at St. Marys Church in Dansville. Interment will be Sacred Heart Cemetery, in Perkinsville. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Dansville Ambulance Fund, PO Box 235, Dansville, NY 14437, or the American Cancer Society, 1400 Winton Rd., N. Rochester, NY 14609.
